Welcome to my page! My name is Maegan Dooley, and I’m a 20 year old film photographer based in Upper Michigan. I’ve been doing photography for over 7 years, but film for just these past 3 years. These 3 years of shooting film, I’ve mainly photographed my friends to build my portfolio. My vision is to create substantial art rather than simple, cookie-cutter portraits. Choosing a specific type of film to cater to each of my shoots is important to me, as well as portraying every detail. To me, film adds more character and substance to photos. Film is raw, authentic, and extremely intentional, making every shot pure. My goal is to continue with portraits, but begin experimenting with different styles and genres of photography to keep on growing my portfolio. I’d also like to eventually expand the locations in which I shoot at.
